Imperial Saffron Cocktail / Mocktail

A luxurious layered drink combining pure saffron essence with bright citrus -served alcohol-free or elevated with premium spirits.

🌼 Saffron Preparation
Ice Bloom Method
Crush a pinch of Imperial Saffron into powder.
Place in a small bowl.
Add one ice cube and let it melt naturally (10–20 minutes).
The melted liquid becomes a pure, golden saffron extract.
🍹 Ingredients (1 serving)
Saffron Syrup Layer
1 pinch Imperial Saffron (ice bloomed)
1 tbsp honey or simple syrup
1 tbsp hot water (to dissolve honey)
Lemon Layer
60 ml (2 oz) fresh lemon juice
90 ml (3 oz) sparkling water or tonic
Ice cubes
Optional Alcohol
Choose ONE:
45 ml (1.5 oz) vodka (clean + premium)
45 ml gin (botanical + elegant)
45 ml white rum (smooth + warm)
Garnish Lemon peel twist
A few saffron threads
Optional: dried rose petal or micro herbs

🍸 Method
1. Make the Saffron Syrup
Mix honey with 1 tbsp hot water until dissolved.
Stir in the ice-bloomed saffron liquid.
This will be the bottom gold layer.
2. Prepare the Lemon Layer
Combine lemon juice + sparkling water (or tonic).
If making a cocktail: add your chosen spirit here.
Add ice and stir gently.
3. Layer the Drink
Pour saffron syrup into the glass first.
Tilt the glass and slowly pour the lemon mixture over a spoon so it floats on top.
The drink will form a dramatic amber-to-gold gradient.
4. Garnish
Add a lemon peel twist
Sprinkle saffron threads
Optional: edible flower or micro herb
