Saffron Hummus with Smoked Paprika & Olive Oil
A velvety Mediterranean hummus infused with Imperial Saffron, drizzled with olive oil, smoked paprika, and fresh herbs.
Saffron Prep
Warm infusion (savory)
Ingredients ● 1 can chickpeas (400g), drained
● 2 tbsp tahini
● 1 garlic clove
● Juice of ½ lemon
● 1 pinch saffron (infused in 1 tbsp warm water)
● 3 tbsp olive oil
● ½ tsp smoked paprika
● Salt
To serve: flatbread, parsley, pomegranate seeds (optional)
Method
1. Prepare saffron using the warm infusion method.
2. Combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, saffron infusion, olive oil, and salt in a blender.
3. Blend until smooth; add water for a silkier texture.
4. Plate, swirl, drizzle olive oil, sprinkle paprika + herbs.
5. Serve with flatbread.
